Armorial Porcelain Deep Platter with the Arms of Beecher and Aislabie, Jingdezhen, China, c. 1765. The splayed rim with notched and canted corners decorated with floral sprays in famille rose enamels, an oblong gilt chain border surrounding the top of a deep cavetto, centering an oval shield bearing the arms of BEECHER, Vaire argent and gules, on a canton or a stag's head cabossed vert, impaling the incorrectly tinctured arms of AISLABIE of Yorkshire, Gules [Argent] three lozenges conjoined in fess argent [or] between as many lions' heads erased or, surrounded by floral sprays and mantled by a drapery swag penciled en grisaille, 14 5/8, dp. 11 1/4, ht. 2 3/8 in.
