The splayed rim painted in Chinese Imari enamels to depict foliate scrolls alternating with four circular reserves depicting the crest of WALKER, The sun rising in clouds all proper, outside a cavetto border of alternating blue lotus and red blossoms on a rouge-de-fer ground, the well centering a circular medallion containing a symmetrically mantled and scrolled shield bearing the arms, Argent on a chevron sable between three pellets as many crescents of the field, with restoration to the gilding and black enamel of the well ornament and plate edge, diam. 8 3/4, ht. 1 in.
