Ike Turner Custom Performance Suit Worn in Performance and at a Pre-Grammy Party. 2004. The enigmatic Ike Turner was well-known for his flamboyant stage costumes. This 3-piece, bespoke stage costume is no exception. Consisting of 1-red and ivory collarless jacket with integral silver reflective dots, applique and embroidery at neck and sleeves, integral satin tie, and unique 'S' button front closure, 1-white floral dress shirt with mandarin collar and button front closure, and 1-pair of ivory satin, ribbon-stiped dress pants with hook and eye, and zipper front closure. Ike wore this suit in performance at the Jazz a' Vienne festival in 2004 and again at Clive Davis's Pre-Grammy party in 2007, the year Ike won his first solo Grammy. Sadly, also, the year the iconic Ike Turner passed away. Exhibiting expected stage wear and use. Footnotes: Provenance: From the Love family.
