A Bow sauceboat, a bottle and a basket, circa 1750-65 The sauceboat of bellied form with a shaped rim, standing on three paw feet, painted in bright blue with a Chinese landscape including a house behind a willow tree, ribbons and scrolls to the interior below a panelled diaper border, 21.8cm long, the bottle or guglet of spherical shape, the slender neck with a knop below the rim, painted with a stylised flower resting on an enormous leaf, bamboo and other plants, the neck and shoulder with border of diaper and formal foliage, 23.6cm high, painter's numeral 59, the flared circular basket pierced and painted with florets, Chinese plants and an insect to the interior, 17cm diam (3) Footnotes: Provenance Elizabeth Adams Collection The sauceboat was included in the English Ceramic Circle Exhibition 2006, item 21.
