Admiral Lord Rodney: A Wedgwood creamware bowl and a pearlware mug, circa 1780-85 Printed in black by Sadler and Green of Liverpool with a portrait of Rodney, the bowl with titled ribbon 'Sr G Bridges Rodney Bt, Rear Admiral of England' with scrollwork flanked by tritons, the exterior with smaller printed vignettes depicting hunting between floral sprays, 17cm diam, impressed 'wedgwood', the mug with a similar print of Rodney, a map of Spain and naval trophies below the scrolling banner, 9.5cm high (2) Footnotes: The mug is illustrated by David Drakard, Printed English Pottery (1992), p.155, p.416.
