A CASED AND ENGRAVED MANHATTAN FIRST MODEL, THIRD VARIATION .22 CALIBER REVOLVER, c. 1860-61. Serial number 5355, foliate scroll engraved octagonal barrel with German silver front sight and with rib marked 'MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS/MANUFG./CO./N.Y.,' plain seven-shot cylinder, silvered iron frame, smooth walnut grips; housed in a hard wood case opening to a compartmented and light blue felt baize lined interior with an empty box of Winchester No. 22 cartridges. Barrel lg. 3 1/2, overall lg. 7 in. Condition: Barrel and cylinder bluing are approx. 80%, frame silvering is worn on the grip frame, hammer retains case colors, grips are very good with minor blemishes, action functions properly; case is good, interior is faded.
