A CASED DERRINGER PERCUSSION PISTOL, Philadelphia, mid-19th century. 3 in., .45 caliber barrel marked on the left side of the breech 'P'; foliate scroll engraved lock plate marked 'DERRINGER/PHILADELA'; walnut stock with checkered grip; steel trigger guard, German silver furniture; housed in a later mahogany Folsom Brothers & Co. mahogany case opening to a compartmented light green velvet lined interior with a nipple wrench, wood and brass rammer/cleaning rod, steel single-cavity ball mold and brass powder flask. Overall lg. 7 in. Condition: Barrel and lock toned to gray, stock has restoration to the fore end, action functions properly; case is good, lining is a little faded, accessories are good.
