A MANHATTAN NAVY MODEL SERIES V REVOLVER, Newark, New Jersey, 1867-68. Serial number 467, .36 caliber octagonal barrel marked on the top 'MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS CO. NEWARK N.J./PATENTED MARCH 8, 1864' with German silver front sight and loading lever below; six-shot roller engraved cylinder with five scenes marked 'PATENT DEC 27. 1859'; steel frame, with brass trigger guard and grip strap; walnut grip, all visible serial numbers match including the wedge. Barrel lg. 4, overall lg. 9 1/4 in. Condition: Barrel, cylinder and frame mostly toned to dark gray/brown with traces of bluing and case colors in the recesses, trace of silvering on the trigger guard and grip frame, grip has dings and dents, action functions but cylinder lock up is sometimes imperfect.
