A few woodcut illustrations of instruments. 18th century red morocco spine elaborately gilt with two green morocco gilt lettered spine labels, edges gilt. Early illustrated edition, primarily derived from Jean Tagault De chirurgica institutione. Fuchs was a practicing pharmacologist and professor of medicine at Tübigen, appointed by the Duke of Wurttemburg to whom this work is dedicated. Fuchs is well remembered for his magnificent herbal, De Historia Stirpum. Wellcome I, 2453.
