A Cross Plot Chart for The Seven Year Itch Twentieth Century-Fox, 1955. Oversized chart used by director Billy Wilder to organize, schedule, and manage the scenes in The Seven Year Itch in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible, featuring script breakdowns, shooting hours, production information, locations, staff and character names, individual scenes, and more, dated August 30, 1954 and marked 'Revised Final' to top and stamped 'Received / Sep 3 1954' to upper left. By the time Billy Wilder was set to direct The Seven Year Itch, he had quite a few successful film productions under his belt and knew how to stay organized. Unlike his experience working with Marilyn Monroe a few years later on Some Like It Hot (1959), this first involvement with Monroe was much easier and her behavior much less neurotic. The cross plot chart is a fascinating device in which the minutiae of movie making are exhibited. 18 x 20 in.
