Armorial Porcelain Tureen and Cover with the Arms of Collingwood, Jingdezhen, China, c. 1760. Chamfered rectangular tureen with conforming domed cover and splayed foot, enamel-painted with floral sprays of peony and lotus, and the sides depicting the arms of COLLINGWOOD, Argent a chevron between three stags' heads erased sable, between stag's head crest and banner inscribed, 'Ferar unus et idem' (I shall carry on regardless), rabbit's head handles applied to ends and the cover surmounted by a rouge-de-fer, pink, and gilded pomegranate handle, wd. 14, dp. 8 3/4, ht. 7 1/2 in.
