Armorial Export Porcelain Teabowl and Saucer with the Arms of Frederick and Marescoe, Jingdezhen, China, c. 1724. Both pieces raised on short foot and terminating in slightly everted rim, edged with various border patterns in rouge-de-fer and gold enamels, the walls of teabowl and the concaved saucer rim decorated with alternating sacred object motifs, the center and frontispiece depicting a diamond shield bearing the arms of FREDERICK, Baronets of Westminster, Or, on a chief azure, three doves proper, with arms of MARESCOE in pretence; impaling Marescoe, Azure three doves argent, marshalled for widow and heiress, Leonora Marescoe Frederick (1659-1729), (saucer) diam. 4 3/4, ht. 3/4 in.
