1977 Honda CB750 F2 Registration no. KFV 275S Frame no. CB750F-2252795 Engine no. CB750E-3152825 Fifty years on, it is hard to imagine the impact the Honda CB750 had on the motorcycling world when it was unveiled to a stunned public at the 1968 Tokyo Show. True, there had been plenty of four-cylinder motorcycles before, but these had been built in relatively small numbers and aimed at the wealthy few. Here for the first time was a mass-produced four within the financial reach of the average enthusiast, and one whose specification - overhead camshaft, disc front brake, five-speed gearbox, electric starter, etc - made the opposition look obsolete overnight. A trend-setting design of immense significance and one of the truly great classic motorcycles. Purchased by the late vendor some time ago, little is known as to its previous history, and it has remained in storage for some time. Accordingly, it will require recommissioning or restoration to a greater or lesser extent before returning to the road and is sold strictly as seen. At the time of cataloguing, the Honda was missing its rear spindle and has yet to be located. Offered with a V5C, expired MoT's (last MoT 1 June 2017) and an invoice. Offered with key Footnotes: All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.
