BETTY VOORH (ELIZABETH CORNELL BENTON) (American, 1905-2000) Untitled signed or inscribed 'Betty Voorh' (on a handwritten label affixed to the reverse) mixed media collage on Masonite 30.5 x 22.9 cm (12 x 9 in). framed 14 3/4 x 11 3/4 x 1 1/2 in (37.5 x 29.8 x 3.8 cm). Footnotes: Provenance Betty Voorh (Elizabeth Cornell Benton). Sherry Friend (acquired as a gift from the previous, circa 1970s). N.B. Sherry Friend interviewed Betty Voorh while working on her Master's thesis on Voorh's brother, Joseph Cornell ('Joseph Cornell: Sun in the Snow', 1976). Voorh gave Friend this work, along with a work by her brother (Lot 27).
