(20 x 15.2 cm) Footnotes: This painting is a remarkable play of color opposites, pinks and mint greens keeping the eye's focus on the figures. The rolling gentle landscape with rocky cliffs beneath a village and temples in the distance amplify the curious isolation of the prince and the yogini. The solid green background matches that of a page formerly in the Deccani Album now in the British Museum of a portrait of a devotee of Vishnu holding a palmleaf manuscript (1920,0917,0.72) and a portrait of a Coy Lady from the Toby Falk Collection sold by Christie's, London, 27 October 2023, lot 110.
