An autograph note written and signed by Maharajah Duleep Singh, perhaps addressed to a tradesman London, after 1873 pen and ink on Carlton Club headed notepaper, not dated, the text reading Gentlemen/If you cannot fit the cheap addition send the other/Duleep Singh, the reference CB 100 in the upper left corner 175 x 112 mm. Footnotes: Maharajah Duleep Singh, as part of an attempt to introduce him to politics, was put up for the Carlton Club (then as now a haunt of the Conservative Party) by the Duke of Richmond, and supported by Lord Walsingham and Lord Colville.
