Plain-woven linen ground worked in satin, chain, and cross stitches retaining lustrous blue, pearl, and magenta hues, a diamond border centering eight registers of letters above the signature 'Polly Coburn Wrought this / in the 11 year of her age 1796' in black thread, the bottom margin filled with mountain, evergreen, and orange tree motifs, mounted in bronze-painted frame, the liner on reverse inscribed 'To be given to / Harriet V.
