Tall cylindrical leather buckets with double-seamed tapered base and intact handles hinged on leather ears, both painted red with gold and black frontispiece depicting an eagle or phoenix above banner inscribed 'J.W. SARGENT' one retaining '1850. / No. 1' toward bottom, the other having more paint loss. Excluding handle, wd. 7 3/4, dp. 8, ht. 13 1/2 in.
