FOUR PENDANTS/NECKLACES 1st: Opal pendant/necklace Opal cabochon 9 carat gold UK hallmarks Lengths: pendant 2.3cm, chain 46.2cm 2nd: Cultured pearl pendant/necklace 10.9mm cultured pearl 9 carat gold UK hallmarks Lengths: pendant 3.6cm, chain 45.6cm 3rd: Boulder opal pendant/necklace Boulder opal Lengths: pendant 2.9cm, chain 45.5cm 4th: Tourmaline crystal pendant/necklace Tourmaline crystal Lengths: pendant 3.4cm, necklace 41.0cm Total weight approx. 39.0g (4) Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION 1st: Negligible surface wear to the 9 carat gold. Pendant stamped to link with UK hallmark for 9 carat gold, maker's mark (NC in ribbon-shaped lozenge) and date letter C. Chain stamped to clasp with maker's mark, UK hallmark for 9 carat gold and Italian assay mark with date letter (possibly z). Clasp secure. Opal displaying green, yellow, orange and indigo play-of-colour. Some light abrasion visible under 10x magnification. 2nd: Light surface wear to 9 carat gold (chain testing as 9ct gold). Pendant stamped to reverse with maker's mark (ARC, each letter in a square-shaped lozenge) and London hallmark for 9 carat gold with date letter C. Clasp secure. Barrel shaped cultured pearl displaying a white body colour with some silver and rose overtones, a medium lustre with some very minor ringing and dimples visible under closer inspection. Nacre predominantly smooth. Some residue to pearl close to the top drill hole. Could benefit from professional cleaning. 3rd: Light surface wear to the unhallmarked yellow metal pendant (pendant testing as 18ct gold) and 18 carat gold chain. Reverse of pendant stamped DH in vertical lozenge and 750. Chain stamped to clasp link with European convention mark for 18 carat gold and maker's mark S-LC. Clasp secure. Opal displaying green, yellow, orange and indigo play-of-colour. Some lights abrasion visible under 10x magnification. 4th: Light surface wear to the unhallmarked yellow metal pendant (pendant testing as 17ct gold) and 9 carat gold chain. Some small losses to metal on reverse of pendant. Pendant stamped to top of pendant link 18K. Chain stamped to clasp with Italian assay marks, maker's mark ST, UK hallmark for 18 carat gold and European convention mark. Clasp secure. Tourmaline displaying a light blueish green hue, measuring very approx. 19.0 x 7.1mm. Some typical inclusions present, some eye visible, some surface reaching. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
