MICHAEL BOLTON: SILVER PENDENT EARRINGS, CIRCA 1993 Modelled as pomegranates Silver Maker's mark MAB, UK hallmarks Length 6.2 x 2.9cm Weight approx. 33.0g Footnotes: Michael Allen Bolton (1938-2005) was born in London. As a self-taught designer and silversmith, Bolton's career in jewellery and silver did not start until 1970, having previously worked in the world of commerce. From 1975 - 1981 he exhibited at The Goldsmiths' Company 'Loot' exhibitions and in their 'Contemporary Silver Tableware' exhibition in 1996. His work is inspired by medieval legends, Celtic and Roman tableware and the British Arts and Crafts movement. OVERALL CONDITION Light surface wear to the silver metal. Front of earrings stamped to neck with UK hallmarks, maker's mark MAB (Michael Bolton) and date letter T.
