M½ 2nd: Arts & Crafts Opal cabochons Mounted in gold Ring size approx. K½ Total weight approx. 8.5g (2) Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION 1st: Some wear to the unhallmarked metal (testing as silver and 18ct gold), in the form of light scratches, the base of hoop worn slightly thin. Inner hoop stamped 18ct. Diamonds with soft lustre, a couple with small chips visible with magnification. Opals displaying green, blue and violet play-of-colour with some light abrasion, one with a small conchoidal chip to the edge visible upon closer inspection. 2nd: Attributed to Sibyl Dunlop. Overall in good condition for age, some discolouration to reverse, light tarnish and light wear to the unhallmarked metal (testing as 9ct gold), in the form of light scratches. Opals with some light abrasion visible upon closer inspection, displaying green, blue and violet play-of-colour.
