TWO GEM-SET RINGS, LATE 19TH CENTURY 1st: Navette ring, late 19th century Old cushion-shaped diamonds, approx. 0.95ct total Ring size approx. L 2nd: Gem-set ring, 1893 Old cushion-shaped diamonds, approx. 0.30ct total Old cushion-shaped rubies 18 carat gold London hallmark Ring size approx. P Total weight approx. 8.0g (2) Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION 1st: Some light surface wear, commensurate with age. The unhallmarked yellow metal, stamped '18' (testing as 18ct gold). 2nd: Some light surface wear to gold, some porosity to inner band. London hallmark with date letter 'S' for 1893. DIAMONDS The diamonds are lively. 1st: Estimated as SI-I2 clarity, colour not possible due to setting, assessed in mounts. RUBIES Displaying medium pink and orangish pink hues, fair transparencies, all with typical inclusions visible with magnification, some of which surface reaching, two chipped.
