Auf dem Passepartout ist von der Galerie Art / Basel festgehalten, dass die Zeichnung 1895 für die Landesausstellung 1896 angefertigt wurde. Dabei liegend ein Plakat einer Ausstellung mit Zeichnungen Hodlers von der Art Galerie in Basel aus dem Jahre 1972. Die Zeichnung war das Titelbild des Plakats. Provenienz: Privatsammlung Luzern.
