Vier Kobra-Schlangen aus einem Kanopen-Kasten
Ägypten, Neues Reich, 18. Dynastie, 1551-1306 v. Chr.
zwischen 11 und 13 cm hoch
Die Schlangen sind aus vergoldetem Holz mit blauen, roten und turkisen Glaseinlagen versehen, z.T. ergänzt und restauriert. Die Sonnenscheiben, ebenfalls aus Holz, sind mit Blattgold überzogen bzw. vergoldet. Die Köpfe, aus blauglasierter Fayence, sind mit Bronzestiften am Körper befestigt. Die Augen sind aus Glas.
