Sehr grosse Engelspietà
vollrund geschnitzte Figurengruppe aus Lindenholz, farbig gefasst, Südtirol, frühes 18. Jh.
Höhe: 72 cm, Breite: 76 cm, Tiefe: 41 cm
Während Darstellungen der den Leichnam Jesu haltenden Gottesmutter häufig sind, finden sich nur selten Skulpturen, bei denen allein ein Engel um den toten Christus trauert. Beigegeben: Restaurierungsbericht von 2002 (bei Christus: Ringfinger rechte Hand ergänzt, Zeigefinger linke Hand ebenfalls, Anpassungen und Einstimmungen; Engel: halbe mittlere Zehe am rechten Fuss ergänzt, Einstimmungen und Anpassungen; am Sockel ein fehlendes Engelsköpfchen neu geschnitzt).
