Auf der Rückseite ist handschriftlich "Anna Afanasievna" aufgeschrieben, möglicherweise der Name der dargestellten Dame. Von Lewizki ist bekannt, dass er nach 1800 vom Hofe nicht mehr geschätzt und von jüngeren Kollegen als blind diffamiert wurde. Um seinen Lebensunterhalt zu bestreiten, malte er jedoch weiterhin Portraits.
