Es ist bekannt, dass der Künstler 1787 in Kiev ein Portrait Katharinas in Reisekleidung anfertigte, welches später in St. Petersburg wiederholt gemalt wurde, da es der Kaiserin sehr gefiel. Auf der Rückseite befindet sich ein Zettel, welcher angibt, dass links unten eine Signatur schlecht zu erkennen ist. Diese wurde dem Künstler Dmitri Lewizki zugeordnet. Diese Signatur ist heute nicht mehr erhalten. // Provenienz: Süddeutsche Sammlung
