Der junge Grossfürst ist mit dem kaiserlichen Andreasorden geschmückt. Sein Vater, Paul I., liess von Johann Baptist Lampi d.Ä. sieben Porträts von seinem Thronfolger anfertigen, welche wohl zwischen 1796 und 1798 gemalt worden sind. Das hier vorliegende Porträt dürfte in diesem Umkreis entstanden sein. // Provenienz: Süddeutsche Sammlung

His father, Paul I., ordererd seven portraits of his heir to the throne by Johann Baptist Lampi the Elder, which had probably been painted between 1796 and 1798. The young grand duke is decorated with the imperial order of St. Andrew. His father, Paul

which had probably been painted between 1796 and 1798. The present portrait was supposably
made in this circumference.
