Cittadini in principio fu allievo del pittore Daniele Crespi fino al 1634 circa, quando si trasferì a Bologna. Giunto nella città felsinea entrò nella scuola di Guido Reni, che fortemente lo influenzò. Inoltre, in questo ambiente artistico ebbe modo di conoscere la pittura di Carracci, Guercino e del Cavedoni. Ebbe un fruttuoso soggiorno romano, caratterizzato dalla frequentazione del vivace e internazionale ambiente dell’Urbe di quegli anni. Conobbe la corrente neo veneta di Mola e l’articolato mondo dei cosiddetti Bamboccianti. Si interessò pure dei primi passi dei temi del paesaggio e del rovinismo avvicinandosi alla produzione di Codazzi, dei suoi paesaggi animati con le figure di Cerquozzi e Lauri, del francese Perrier, dei napoletani del Falcone e Micco Spadaro, pure del fiammingo del Jan Miel, a dimostrazione dell’estrazione e del contributo eterogeneo della scena pittorica romana del tempo. Tornato in patria tra il 1650 e il 1652 partecipò ad una delle sue ultime imprese di grande decorazione, partecipando con Boulanger, Bianchi e Monti alla decorazione a fresco della galleria di Bacco nel palazzo Estense di Sassuolo. Nella produzione successiva al '50 va considerato l'apporto della sua efficiente bottega, organizzata a sodisfare l’ampia domanda di nature morte e ritratti. Per quanto riguarda le nature morte la sua produzione era prossima alla meticolosa freddezza fiamminga, con l’accostamento al vero estatico spagnolo e al naturalismo lombardo e inevitabilmente di Caravaggio. L’importante produzione di ritratti improntati alla massima veridicità, esteticamente saldamente legati all'ambiente lombardo, ricordando gli esempi di Cavagna e Ceresa.

1) Lots are offered for sale in public places by Lucas SRLs, which acts as an agent exclusively in its own name and on behalf of each seller under 'art.1704 Code Civ., The Lucas S.r.l. assumes in relation to the contractor or third parties other responsibilities in addition to the obligation arising from its role as agent.
2) Items are sold to the highest bidder, the auctioneer conducts the auction starting with the offer which it considers appropriate, depending on the value of the lot and competing offers. The auctioneer may bid on behalf of the seller up to the reserve price.

11) Payments and withdrawals transport.

I purchased lots will be available to customers for collection at the venue of the auction sale. The successful tenderer will have to withdraw their lots at his own risk and expense within 10 working days.

12) Right of Action:
