Ink drawing on paper. Signed and dated in 1927
This is a very significant drawing as this image of a putrefying hand from which ants emanate is one of the best known scenes of the film Un Chien Andalou, by Dalí and Luis Buñuel, which came out two years later in1929, a masterpiece in the history of cinema.
The lot includes a certificate of authenticity from the Gala Salvador Dalí Foundation dated the 7th February 2018. We would like to thank Mr. Víctor Fernández for his help in cataloguing this drawing.
