The Keris with straight hand forged Wilah (blade), consists of Pamor steel forged in different layers of iron (pattern type: ‘Melati Rinonce’’).‘ pattern. Dapur in ‘Tilam Upih’ shape. Silver-gilded Mendak (cuff) with ‘Angkup Randu’ between hilt and blade. Ukiran (Keris hilt) in ‘Puteri Kinurung’ shape, and carved from Tayuman wood. The fine Warangka (sheath) of ‘Gayaman Kagok’ type (‘kidney’ shaped) and made from Pelet Bosokan wood patiently carved by hand. Gandar (body) with brass (cover), the Blewah Polos with Tombak.
Length of the blade, including ‘Pesi’ (tang of the blade): 32.3 cm. (1x)
Note 1: The Kingdom of Janggala is one of the two Javanese kingdoms that was formed when Airlangga abdicated his throne in favour of his two sons in 1045. The Kingdom of Janggala comprised the northeastern part of the Kingdom of Kahuripan.
