Peinture au pistolet, camouflé trois tons sable/ocre/vert à 90%. Trace d'un grillage. Aigle de la Heer à 80% vraisemblablement dégagé postérieurement. Coiffe en cuir complète. Cordon de serrage remplacé par une cordelette. Jugulaire présente. Reste d'indication nominative illisible dans la nuquière. A noter une certaine patine et usure de la pièce. Pièce trouvée dans les environs de Caen. Illustrée pages 30 et 31 du livre 75 objets du Débarquement de Normandie. Attestation originale de provenance signée de Bertrand Paris jointe avec un exemplaire de l'ouvrage. M-35 Helmet shell, manufactured EF 62, lot number 3332. Spray painted in three shades of camouflage tan / ocher / green, at 90%. Burn marks. The eagle of the Heer at 80% presumably revealed at a later date. Full leather lining, the drawstring replaced by a small cord. Worn leather on the edges. Leather chinstrap present. Some traces of the owner’s name in illegible writing appears on the rear skirt. Note some wear and tear and discoloration on this item. Item as found. Located by Bertrand Paris in the vicinity of Caen. An illustration can be found on pages 30 and 31 in the book 75 objects of the Landings in Normandy.
