Liner Hawley de capitaine US Hawley Helmet Liner, US CaptainLiner carton, fabrication Hawley. Reste d'insigne inconnu réalisé au crayon sur le dessus de la bombe. Grade de capitaine sur la partie frontale de la coiffure. Jugulaire en cuir présente. Intérieur complet marqué sur les sangles de coiffe GWS ZON. Modèle fin 1942. Laissée dans son état de découverte. A noter quelques fissures et marques d'usures sur l'ensemble de la pièce. Illustrée page 7 du livre 75 objets du Débarquement de Normandie. Attestation originale de provenance signée de Bertrand Paris jointe avec un exemplaire de l'ouvrage. Cardboard liner made by Hawley. An unreadable insignia in pencil can be made out on the top of the helmet liner. The front indicates the rank of Captain. Leather chinstrap present. The inside is complete, with the markings GWS ZON on the headgear straps. Late 1942 model. Left in its original condition as found. Note some cracks and wear marks across the whole item. An illustration can be found on page 7 in the book 75 objects of the Landings in Normandy.
