Lequel avait établi son poste de commandement dans le lieu où a été retrouvée cette Enigma. Pièce trouvée en 1983 à l'arrière du château de Bas Aubry, près de Saint Lambert sur Dives où ces morceaux sont apparus après l'incendie d'un tronc d'arbre mort situé au bord de la Dives. Pièce illustrée page 61 du livre 75 objets du Débarquement de Normandie. Attestation originale de provenance signée de Bertrand Paris jointe avec un exemplaire de l'ouvrage. Three-rotor Enigma machine, some keys of which survive. Special presentation box in plexiglass. Dug out incomplete. It could be the Enigma machine from the staff of General Heinz Harmel of the 10th SS Panzer Division Frundsberg who set up his command post where this Enigma machine was found. The item was found in 1983 behind the château of Le Bas Aubry, near Saint Lambert sur Dives. The item was found on the banks of the Dives river in a burnt, hollowed out tree trunk. An illustration can be found on page 61 in the book 75 objects of the Landings in Normandy.
