Mickael Wittmann Courrier envoyé par Otto Günsche, adjudant d'Adolf Hitler pour la SS. Daté du 19 juin 1944, et adressé au SS Sturmbannführer Kment. Il s'agit de la proposition de remise de la Croix de Fer de Chevalier avec épée en faveur de l'Obersturmführer Wittmann. Lettre signée par Otto Günsche, suivie de la mention manuscrite de son grade. Deux perforations latérale de classement. A noter une certaine patine de la pièce et quelques marques d'usures sur l'ensemble du document. Mickael Wittmann reçu la Croix de Chevalier avec feuilles de chêne et glaives le 22 juin 1944, ce qui fit de lui le 71ème récipiendaire de cet ordre, il mourrut au combat le 8 août 1944 en Normandie. Pièce trouvée en 1987 auprès d'un marchand parisien. Illustrée page 47 du livre 75 objets du Débarquement de Normandie. Attestation originale de provenance signée de Bertrand Paris jointe avec un exemplaire de l'ouvrage. A letter sent by Otto Günsche, SS adjutant to Adolf Hitler for the SS. Dated June 19 1944, and addressed to SS Sturmbannführer Kment. This is the proposal to award the Knight's Iron Cross with Sword to Obersturmführer Wittmann. Letter signed by Otto Günsche, followed by the handwritten mention of his rank. Two lateral perforations for classification purposes. Note some patina of the item and some signs of wear throughout the document. Mickaël Wittmann received the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords on June 22, 1944, which made him the 71st recipient of this order. He died in action on August 8, 1944 in Normandy. Item found in 1987 with a Parisian dealer. An illustration can be found on page 47 in the book 75 objects of the Landings in Normandy.
