A sewing box, Regency (1811-1820), sandalwood, ebony and ivory, gadrooned cover centre, engraved friezes with groovings filled in black "Outdoor scenes with figures", interior with dividers featuring sandalwood and ivory covers with engraved friezes, zoomorphic feet and side handles "Lion Fauces" in silver, Anglo-Indian - Vizagapatam, one unwelded foot, one bronze foot, minor defects, wear on decoration, unmarked silver, pursuant to Decreto-Lei No. 120/2017, of September 15 - art. 2, paragraph 2, letter c). Notes: a) This lot is subject to CITES export/import restrictions and is duly certified: nr 16-PT-LX02795/C; b) Several countries prohibit the import of goods that incorporate materials from protected wild fauna and flora species, including, among others, ivory, coral and turtle; c) In Portugal, according to the forecast transposition into the Portuguese legislation of the more recent EU guidance document concerning ivory commerce, the issuing of reexport certifications for non EU countries is suspended; d) We therefore advise potential buyers to inform themselves in advance on the applicable legislation, in particular the customs regulations in force in the countries concerned., Dim. - 15,8 x 20,6 x 15,7 cm
