A joustin quintain "Sitting Moor with shield and whip", polychrome wooden sculpture, shield with rim and iron plaque, European, 17th/18th C., restoration, minor faults and defects, faults on polychrome, later leather whip with iron handle, resting on a rotating later base with a hexagonal column made of Scot pine, small traces of woodworm. Notes: column with a label informing that it belonged to the Quinta dos Chavões, of the counts of Unhão, and later that it was part of the Jorge Graça and Ernesto de Vilhena collections. Label from the Comandante Ernesto de Vilhena Collection, affixed to the back., Dim. - (base) 75 cm; (total) 183 cm
