A fawn-ground embroidered 'Paradise flycatcher and pomegranate' hanging Late Qing dynasty the 'lily' and 'pomegranate seeds' embroidered with coral beads, and one of the butterflies with seed pearls and coral beads, the 'tree trunk' and 'pomegranates' further shaded with ink, 211.0cm long, 52.0cm wide Footnotes: Provenance: (possibly) Linda Wrigglesworth, London, 14 Nov 1981 (receipt) 晚清 素綾本綉綫輯珊瑚米珠「綬蝶石榴百合」挂軸 傳承： （或）倫敦 Linda Wrigglesworth，1981年11月14日（收據） 本挂軸集多種刺綉工藝以針綫入畫。百合、石榴籽輯珊瑚珠鎖邊、蝴蝶翅膀輯米珠珊瑚珠並打籽滿綉另鎖邊，山石、樹幹、石榴果皮皆用起絨綫搶針，不僅突出質地，更因絲綫的極端密集使樹幹等高出布面而有立體效果。樹幹和果皮用水墨加以渲染，更具逼真。綬帶雙目以對比漸變色綫環針打籽鎖邊，雙爪以黑綫壓綉，其餘花葉翎毛皆以多種漸變色綫搶針描摹明暗相背，間以如絲水路，輪廓鮮明可鑒。整體用色以寳藍及珊瑚紅點綴於淡雅鵝黃淺赭之上，巧用雙色細珠描摹寫生，似比設色水墨更有生機創意。 This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: Y Y Subject to CITES regulations when exporting items outside of the EU, see clause 13. Bank Transfer: this is the preferred method of payment. If transferring from an international account, please be sure to check with your bank and add any international transaction fees incurred to the total transfer amount. See your Bonhams invoice for bank account and BPAY details.
Online payment via Bonhams.com: please log on to your Bonhams account and proceed to Invoice Payment, limits apply.

Checks: Bank and personal checks should be made out to Bonhams 1793 Ltd **Note items cannot be collected until funds have cleared in full.
Cash payment: we accept cash payment in Australian Dollars up to a maximum of $8,000 for lots purchased by you in this sale. Kindly note we are unable to give change so please ensure that the exact amount is provided.
To comply with legislative requirements, Bonhams will only accept payment from an account that matches the name on the invoice issued, i.e. the name on the original registration form.
