AN ENGLISH COMMERCIAL FLINTLOCK MUSKET, Ramsay & Southerland, Birmingham, c. 1815. 39 1/4 in., .76 caliber round barrel with ring decoration at the breech and post-1813 Birmingham proof marks, slightly convex lock with double line border engraving and marked 'RAMSAY/SOUTHERLAND' below the pan; walnut stock with inspector marks below the trigger guard; brass furniture of India Pattern form including a butt plate, trigger guard, side plate, three rammer pipes and a nose cap, steel rammer with button head and plain end. Overall lg. 55 in. Condition: Good overall condition, the musket is coated in a thin layer of varnish, metal cleaned bright, stock has scattered dings, dents and gouges, action functions properly. We are proud to present these objects to benefit the acquisition fund of the Fort Ticonderoga Museum.
