2006 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Chassis no. SCBBE53WX6C037963 - Always maintained by Schmohl AG - Equipped with numerous options - Service book regularly stamped - Offered with Swiss registration document First unveiled in 2005 and based largely upon the much-admired Continental GT coupé platform, the Continental Flying Spur was the flagship of Bentley's range, boasting a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine, a wonderful factory specification with an options list longer than most novels, adaptive air suspension, permanent all-wheel-drive and performance to rival most supercars of the era, despite the fact that the Flying Spur weighed in at a whopping 2,525kg kerb weight! Designed for the driver as much as for those who want to be driven, the ZF-sourced transmission featured steering wheel-mounted paddles for manual shifts, and the W12 engine - similar to that used in the short-lived VW Phaeton - was able to propel this luxurious behemoth to 62mph in just 5.2 seconds. Despite this almost unbelievable sporting prowess, this - along with its coupé brethren - was still a certified high-class Bentley product, assembled in their Crewe workshops and treated to the highest standards of build quality, maintenance and an overall sense of opulence, all wrapped up in a sharp and surprisingly understated body; A true Bentley through-and-through. Most likely delivered new to Switzerland, this Continental Flying Spur is accompanied by its original owner's manual and books presented in a leather pouch. The service book, regularly stamped, shows the first service carried out at Schmohl AG, a renowned marque specialist in Switzerland, on 24 March 2006 when the car had just 10 km. It continued to be maintained by Schmohl AG up to the service dated 28 March 2019, at which time the odometer read 99,312 km. The car subsequently benefitted from a service at Bahman Cars in 2023. Now showing 121,555 km, the car is offered with a spare key and its original Swiss carte grise (registration document).
