c.1924 K.V. 197cc 'S' Frame no. 1720 Engine no. 320 F Please kindly note that this motorbike will be available for viewing by prior appointment in Dortmund: please contact eva.lengler@bonhams.com for booking. To say that the German firm of Kraftfahrzeugvertrieb GmbH (K.V. Ltd) is obscure would be a gross understatement, as it only existed between 1924 and 1927. Its name translating literally as 'Motor Vehicle Sales', K.V.'s entry in Tragatsch merits less than two lines. Based in Selb, Oberfranken in Bayern, K.V. built machines with 197cc and 246cc overhead-valve engines of their own design. The rare example we offer features a 'coffee grinder' variable-pulley gear, belt drive, kick-starter, acetylene headlamp, belt-rim brake to the rear, and a dummy belt-rim brake to the front. The machine comes with a hand-written document in German. The engine turns over. Key not required Footnotes: Please kindly note that VAT at the prevailing german rate (currently 19%) will be added to the buyer's premium which will be invoiced on a VAT exclusive basis. If you are planning to export, please make the department aware. For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
