Beschreibung
A Citizen Kane Cutting Continuity Script RKO Radio Pictures, 1941. Mimeographed manuscript, 71 pp, with 'Cutting Continuity / on / 'Citizen Kane'' and information on reel number, number of sections, Photophone footage, and running time to cover, bound with staples to upper cover in blue wrappers. The sequences and action of the film are presented in the order they appear in the motion picture, including the special credits which appear at the end of the film which introduce the Mercury Theatre Players, many of whom were making their film debut in Citizen Kane. The success of wunderkind Orson Welles' first true foray into directing feature films was one he spent the rest of his life chasing. Loosely based on the life of newspaper entrepreneur William Randolph Hearst (though not loosely enough for Hearst!), Citizen Kane chronicles the life of Charles Foster Kane (also played by Welles) as he experiences a sad childhood and an emotionally difficult adulthood while simultaneously achieving enormous business triumphs. Co-starring with Welles are his crew of radio actors from the Mercury Theatre Players including Joseph Cotten, Agnes Moorehead, and others. Welles not only acted in, directed, and produced the film, but he wrote it as well (along with Herman Mankewicz and John Houseman). Many still consider Citizen Kane the greatest film ever produced. 14 x 8.5 in. Buyers' Premium and Charges

Oversized Lots
