DEPUTY SHERRIF HENRY O. BOYES' COLT SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER, 1907. Serial number 294613, .32 W.C.F. caliber, barrel with thin two line markings on the top and '32 W.C.F.' on the left side; fluted cylinder, frame marked 'PAT SEPT.19.1871/JULY2.72.JAN.19.75' ad with faint rampant colt mark; checkered hard rubber grips; mounted in a display case with three badges and letter of provenance. Barrel lg. 4 3/4, overall lg. 10 1/4 in. **Successful bidder must arrange pickup/transfer through a federal firearms licensee.** **With the enactment of new Massachusetts firearms legislation on October 2, 2024, transfers of ALL post-1898 firearms within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, INCLUDING curio & relic firearms, MUST be processed through a federal firearms dealer. C&R holders from other states must arrange for C&R firearms purchases to be shipped. Condition: Revolver is refinished and has wear from use, finger tab on ejector is bent, grip screw is a replacement that is also used to secure the revolver to the mount; grips are worn, action functions properly. Footnotes: Provenance Originally owned by Henry O. Boyes (1865-1947), Deputy Sherrif, Powder River area, Montana. Given to Boyes' grandson, Dick Richardson, upon his death. Given to Steven Kline, August 23, 1979. Later acquired by James Blanchard. Note Lot includes letters transferring ownership of the revolver to Steven Kline and information on the family's history.
