Miroir chevalet, la monture en argent monogrammé 84 zolotniks (875 millièmes) A silver table mirror Marque de fabrique pour Andrey Bragin, Saint-Pétersbourg, 1896, rectangulaire, sur deux pieds feuillagés, le cadre est orné de volutes en C, d'ornements en rocaille et de feuilles d'acanthe, la crête d'acanthe centrant un cartouche ovale gravé d'un monogramme, le dos en bois avec une jambe de chevalet, marqué sur le bord gauche du cadre, avec un étui d'origine estampillé en russe « Grachev Brothers St. Petersburg » sous le mandat impérial Makers mark for Andrey Bragin, St. Petersburg, 1896, rectangular, on two scrolling foliate feet, the frame cast with C-scrolls, rocaille ornament and acanthus leaves, the acanthus scroll crest centering an oval cartouche engraved with a monogram, the wood back with easel strut, marked on left edge of frame, with original fitted case stamped in Russian 'Grachev Brothers St. Petersburg' beneath the Imperial warrant, height: 59.7 cm (23 1/2 in); gross weight: 8000gms Footnotes: Provenance Acquired by the present owner at Christie's New York, Russian Works of Art, 16 April, 2012, lot 90 This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: * * VAT on imported items at a reduced rate of 5.5% on the hammer price and the prevailing rate on buyer's premium if the item remains in EU.
