NASH, JOHN. 1752-1835; and EDWARD WEDLAKE BRAYLEY. 1773-1854. Illustrations of Her Majesty's Palace at Brighton; formerly the Pavilion. London: J.B. Nichols & Son, 1838. Folio (535 x 365 mm). 33 plates (15 hand-colored or tinted, one folding) on 29 sheets. Contemporary green cloth, decorated in blind and titled in gilt. Covers rubbed, joints starting at corners, some warping to leaves, minor foxing. Second, expanded from the rare 1826 edition, and renamed to substitute the word 'Palace' for the previous designation 'Pavilion.' This was issued complete with uncolored outline etchings and text; however, the publishers offered separately-issued colored aquatints, finished by hand and mounted on card, 'to be bound with the Work at the option of the purchaser.'
