Carved wooden relief of the Saturn rocket on the launch pad, at liftoff, and at second stage, 52 x 64.5 cm, signed and dated ('Albert Lane / 9-9-69') at lower left, with presentation plaque at lower center from Von Braun to Lt. General Samuel C. Phillips, housed in wooden crate with General Phillips' business card affixed to exterior, 69 x 74 x 12 cm overall. The plaque reads, 'To Lt. Gen. Samuel C. Phillips / From the employees of the Marshall Space Flight Center, in grateful appreciation of your outstanding leadership in the Apollo Program / Werner von Braun / Director.' With LOA of Clinton Perkins, February 25, 2012, declaring that he is selling the plaque on behalf of its owner Shirley Thomas Perkins to Margaret Wallace. Thomas Perkins 'started the Von Karman Awards at Cal Tech. She taught Technical Writing at USC, wrote books about Space.'
