A collection of Bow porcelain, circa 1750-80 Comprising an early bowl painted in bright blue with huts and rocks on an island and a sampan, 12cm diam, a coffee cup painted with a Fisherman in a sampan, a cross-legged man seated under a willow tree, 5.8cm high, a saucer of 'Dragon' pattern, 12.5cm diam, numeral 12, a coffee cup with a powder-blue ground reserving fan-shaped landscape panels and smaller circular flower panels, 5.5cm high, pseudo Chinese mark within tramlines, and another coffee cup printed with the 'Three Flowers' pattern, possibly Isleworth, 5.8cm high (5) Footnotes: Provenance Elizabeth Adams Collection The vibrant tone of blue and somewhat heavy glaze exhibited by the bowl and first-mentioned coffee cup are features of the earliest blue and white porcelain made at Bow.
