A group of Chelsea-Derby porcelain, circa 1770-77 Comprising a large cup and saucer, the cup of ogee form with an entwined handle, painted in green monochrome with flower sprays and scattered sprigs and leaves, with gilt dentil rims, saucer 14.3cm diam, two teabowls and saucers, one painted with green foliage entwined around gilt spirals, saucer 12.9cm diam, the other with pendant foliage alternating with pink stripes, saucer 12cm diam, and two plates with shaped rims, similarly painted with swags of pink roses suspended from a gilt and turquoise border, 21.3cm and 22.5cm diam, all pieces with an anchor and D mark in gold (8) Footnotes: Provenance Elizabeth Adams Collection Similar examples of both plates are illustrated by Stephen Mitchell, The Marks on Chelsea-Derby and Early Crossed-Batons Useful Wares (2007), pl.21i and ii.
