TWO TURQUOISE, GOLD, AND GLASS OFFICIAL EARRINGS Tibet, circa 1900 The two elongated earrings, each with a C-shaped hoop, inlaid with turquoise between granulated gold beads, with a baroque pearl at the midsection, terminating with a large pointed blue glass pendant imitating turquoise. The design of the earrings tends to combine the sacred and the secular in a subtle way, seen in the present lot with lotus petal designs flanking the pearls.
