A POLYCHROME LACQUER BOX AND COVER AND A PAIR OF POLYCHROME LACQUER BOXES AND COVERS 18th century Comprising a pair of boxes and covers, each of circular form, one carved to the cover with two large peaches on leafy and blossoming branches, the second carved to the cover with two balsam pears on a leafy stem, both against a diaper ground; and a box and cover of irregular form, carved to the centre with branches of loquats, the sides adorned with geometric wan pattern; the interiors and bases of all three pieces lacquered black. The largest: 8cm (3 1/8in) long. (6).
